Prep Time: 30 Minutes

Cook Time: 1 Minute

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

Pickles:

  • 450 g Qukes® (baby cucumbers), sliced lengthwise
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • A few sprigs fresh dill

Preparations:

  1. 1. Combine the water, rice wine vinegar, sea salt, and maple syrup in a small saucepan and warm over medium heat until the salt dissolves and the mixture begins to steam.

  2. Pack the sliced Qukes®, dill, and smashed garlic into a heat-safe jar.

  3. Pour the warm brine over the cucumbers, making sure they’re fully submerged, and tap the jar gently to release any air bubbles.

  4. Seal the jar and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 10 minutes (the longer, the better. A few hours is ideal).

  5. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy within 2 to 3 weeks.
